Keyboard and TrackPoint with enhanced features
The keyboard has the familiar layout of a ThinkPad system with function keys
that allow you to quickly access system functions such as power-management
control.
Tow mouse systems now
give you the option of using the internal touchpad or The TrackPoint with enhanced features
incorporates the Press-to-Select and Release-to-Select function.
Just tap the TrackPoint to speed icon launches
and help reduce keystrokes. The new programmable center button enables fast
scrolling of Web sites and documents or fast panning across wide spreadsheets.
Switch to the innovative magnifying glass feature to enlarge screen views in any
application.

The system has 256 MB of 266MHz memory standard and can be configured for up to
1024 MB

PC Card
The Type III slot accommodates either two Type I, | two Type II, or one Type III
PC card. The slot supports CardBus adapters, PC card, and Zoomed Video (ZV)

attached externally for added flexibility by using an optional adapter and cable

Full-duplex audio on the system board and the integrated microphone allow
voice annotation and audio. The system is equipped with audio in/out jacks for
stereo speakers, headphone, or external microphone. The system supports Sound
Blaster audio applications.
Infrared
The system has one fast IR transceiver (up to 4 Mbps) for wireless file and data
transfer and printing. The ThinkPad T30 is designed for compliance with the
Infrared Data Association (IrDA) IR data link specification Version 1.1.

IBM ThinkPad T30 is
covered under IBM international warranty until Dec/2005. As long as the
laptop remains in the United States or Canada, you do not have to
register it in order to be entitled to any remaining coverage under the
original 3 year warranty. The warranty is fully transferable. Possession
of the laptop, in and of itself, entitles you to warranty support. The
bar code on the underside of the laptop, along with the Type, Model and
Serial Number indicated thereon, is your "title" of ownership and your
right to any remaining warranty service and support. This information is
also stored in the BIOS of the laptop.
Overseas Travel: Should you plan on
traveling (or relocating) overseas, you must register your laptop with
IBM in order to be entitled to "International Warranty" support while in a foreign country. You must register with
IBM before commencing travel. |
