Inspiron 1501 notebook features abundant multimedia tools,
such as a 15.4-inch widescreen display, seven backlit
multimedia keys, and numerous ports and connections for
multimedia devices. It also incorporates Intel's new 945GM
chipset, which is designed to reduce power consumption and
improve performance. Inspiron 1501 systems come with 15.4"
widescreen display is comparable in viewing area to a 20"
CRT monitor, an Intel Media Accelerator 900 graphics
card, a SD (Secure Digital) media card
reader for swapping files with your camera
or PDA, and Dolby digital audio. Additional
ports and connections includ a headphone and
speaker jack, a microphone jack, 4 USB 2.0
ports.
Standard software for the Inspiron 1501 includes , Dell Media Experience, Dell Jukebox, and
Sonic RecordNow. You also get a 90-day trial version of Symantec's Norton
Internet Security or McAfee Security Center.
For networking, the Inspiron 1501 contains
standard features, such as an integrated 10/1000 Ethernet
